Little Years. Big Beginnings.

The first years of a child’s life are filled with extraordinary growth. They’re also a time when families may have questions, concerns, or simply need someone in their corner.

Before Three was created to provide developmentally appropriate, play-based behavioral support for early learners while becoming a trusted resource for the families who know them best.

Our approach brings the science of behavior analysis into the places where early development naturally happens—through play, relationships, everyday routines, and real-life experiences.

We believe young children learn best when they are engaged, connected, curious, and having fun. Rather than asking a child to fit into a predetermined program, we look at the whole child: their development, communication, environment, strengths, needs, relationships, and family priorities.

Our Approach

Play Is Powerful.

For young children, play isn’t a break from learning. Play is how they learn.

Our behavioral supports are grounded in the principles of applied behavior analysis while remaining developmentally appropriate for early learners. We emphasize naturalistic teaching, child engagement, positive relationships, meaningful communication, and skills that make a difference in everyday life.

That might mean helping a child communicate what they want, participate in a family routine, engage with a sibling, tolerate a transition, explore a new environment, develop new play skills, or find safer and more effective ways to express their needs.

Progress should be meaningful—not just measurable.

Families Are Part of the Team

Parents and caregivers shouldn't have to become therapists to help their child succeed.

Our role is to listen, collaborate, coach, and provide practical tools that make sense for your child and your family. We want families to understand the why behind recommendations and feel confident using strategies within the routines they already have.

Because the goal isn't simply for a skill to happen during a session.

The goal is for it to make everyday life better.

Support Where Life Happens

Young children don't live in therapy rooms.

They learn while getting dressed, eating breakfast, playing on the floor, visiting the playground, riding in the car, going to the store, spending time with siblings, and exploring their communities.

That's why Before Three emphasizes support within natural environments—at home, in the community, and throughout everyday life.

Our Vision

Whole Child. Whole Family. Connected Care.

Children don't develop in separate boxes, and we don't believe their support should either.

Our vision is to grow Before Three into a collaborative, multidisciplinary resource for young children and their families, bringing professionals and community resources together around shared developmental and family goals.

Behavior analysis is one piece of that picture.

Our bigger purpose is helping families access thoughtful, coordinated, developmentally appropriate support during some of the most important years of their child's development.

Before Three is about what happens early—and everything those early experiences can help build.
